Cell Phone Tower Objections

Good Day Everyone from the RRRA,

I would like to draw your URGENT attention to the latest cell phone tower onslaught from CELL C.

Please bare in mind when reading the latest proposed cell phone tower application -  that RICHWOOD WILL BE GETTING FIBER.  Fiber is way better / more stable and healthier!

An application for rezoning has been submitted to the municipality by the owners of No 9 Buitengracht Drive Richwood to allow CELL C to build a 15m cell phone tower on their premises.

The application was done by Warren Petterson, who appears to be the force behind all the cell phone tower applications around the Cape. Most, if not ALL suburbs have STRONGLY OBJECTED to cell phone towers been erected in their backyards!

This application can be viewed on the fence of No 9 Buitengracht Drive Richwood. You will have to look very carefully for it,  as it is a very small sized notice! It was also apparently advertised in the Argus & Die Burger newspapers? Did anyone see it?

The application can also be viewed at the municipality buildings in Parow.

EnquiriesThe application may be inspected at the office of the District Manager at Parow Administrative Building, cnr Voortrekker Road and Tallent Street, Parow, 7500, 021 444 7843 during office hours.
Objections, comments or representationsAny objection, comment or representation on the proposal, with reasons therefor, may be submitted to the following e-mail address: comments_objections.tygerberg@capetown.gov.za (or submitted in writing to the office of the above mentioned District Manager) to be received before or on the closing date mentioned below.
GeneralAn objection, comment or representation which does not meet the requirements in this notice may be disregarded. Objections, comments or representations form part of public documents and are forwarded to the applicant for response.

OBJECTIONS MUST BE IN BY THE 20th MAY!!

If you like a copy for the application or help filling in your objection - please send your request to richwoodratepayers@gmail.com email address.

I trust Richwood Residence can count on everyones support regarding objection against the cell phone tower?

Greetings from Dave Smith, the new Chairman of Richwood Residence Ratepayers Association

        Good Day Everyone,

I've really been busy trying to catch up with all the ongoing projects left behind by the previous RRRA (Richwood Residence Ratepayers Association), so now finally I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all who voted for me.

First order of business is the upcoming elections.

In case you have not heard about it yet the IEC have moved our voting station from Richwood Community Center to Burgundy Estates. The IEC's reason for this move is due to the growth in the area.

Voting will now be held at the:

        take place between 9am - 5pm on the 6th & 7th May 2019

The elderly & frail who filled in the forms and handed back to the RRRA will be contacted by the IEC, who will do the home visit.

        Best regards
        Dave Smith
